1. What is a JDM engine?
A JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) engine is an engine originally manufactured for vehicles sold in Japan. Because Japan has strict vehicle inspection regulations, many vehicles are retired with lower mileage than comparable vehicles in other markets, making JDM engines a popular replacement option.
2. Are your engines used or refurbished?
Bridgeway General Supplies LLC offers both quality used and professionally refurbished JDM engines. The condition of each engine is clearly stated on its individual product page before purchase.
3. How much does shipping cost?
We offer flat-rate freight shipping of $150 throughout the continental United States. International freight shipping is available for a flat rate of $400. Additional customs duties, taxes, or import fees may apply for international orders.
4. How long does shipping take?
Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days. Delivery within the continental United States usually takes 3–7 business days. International transit times vary depending on destination and customs clearance.
5. Do I need to be present for delivery?
Yes. Freight shipments require someone to be available to receive, inspect, and sign for the shipment. Please inspect the pallet carefully before signing the carrier's delivery receipt.
6. Is liftgate service included?
Residential deliveries within the United States generally include liftgate service where available. Deliveries are curbside only, and freight carriers cannot move engines into homes, garages, or workshops.
7. What should I do if my engine arrives damaged?
Inspect your shipment before signing for delivery. If you notice visible damage, note it on the carrier's paperwork, take photographs, and contact Bridgeway General Supplies LLC immediately. If severe damage is present, you may refuse delivery.
8. Do your engines include a warranty?
Warranty coverage varies depending on the engine. Please review the warranty information provided on the product page or contact our team before purchasing if you have any questions.
9. What is the average mileage on your JDM engines?
Mileage varies by engine. Many imported JDM engines come from vehicles retired earlier in Japan and are often lower mileage than comparable domestic engines, although exact mileage cannot always be verified.
10. Can I return an engine?
Yes. Return requests must be submitted within 90 days of delivery. Engines must be unused, uninstalled, and returned in their original condition. Approved non-defective returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
11. Are accessories included with the engine?
Components such as alternators, starters, intake manifolds, wiring harnesses, sensors, and air conditioning compressors may remain attached; however, these accessories are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in the product description.
12. How do I know if an engine will fit my vehicle?
Before ordering, verify your engine code, VIN, and vehicle specifications. If you need assistance, our team is happy to help confirm compatibility whenever possible.
13. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Bridgeway General Supplies LLC ships JDM engines to many countries worldwide. International customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and any charges required by their destination country.
14. How are engines packaged for shipping?
Every engine is drained of applicable fluids, securely fastened to a freight pallet, professionally shrink-wrapped, and inspected before leaving our facility to help ensure safe transport.
